Yoga and Mindfulness for Parents

 

To be quite honest, I’m really not sure how parents actually parent without a yoga or mindfulness practice.  I have to rely on my practice every single day to support myself in staying present, attuning to my daughter’s needs (and my husband’s for that matter), and re-connecting to the place in me which is calm, stable, flexible, patient and loving.

Based on my experiences as an educator, yoga instructor, curriculum writer, and parent, this workshop is designed to support parents in accessing the inner resource of present moment awareness through yoga and mindfulness practices.

During this workshop, participants will learn:

 
  • Simple yoga poses to energize, calm, re-balance or decompress.
  • Breathing exercises that cultivate calm, focus and present moment awareness.
  • Mindfulness practices that deepen awareness, cultivate calm, re-ignite compassion and inspire integration.
  • How to create habits that prioritize self-care practices and bring harmony and joy into the busy lives of families.
